BOOK SALE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Volunteers are needed:

Saturday April 6, 3 to 6 to set up the sale

Sunday April 7, 10 to 3 to keep tables stocked & neat

Sunday April 7, 3 to 4:30 to clean up after the sale.

If you would like to give an hour or two to help during the sale please Library, 225-2439.

LEARN HOW TO TAKE GREAT PET PHOTOS!

CarmelLibraryPetClassGet ready for our Pet Photo Contest by learning how to take that winning photo.  This class will include how to choose the optimal camera settings, best lighting, environment and angle for pet photos as well as tips on how to make your pet more at ease and how to capture their personality and expressions.

VETERANS PROGRAM – SNOWDATE FEBRUARY 16

Veterans learn how to document your military skills in a resume that civilian employers understand.  Learn what programs are out there to help you. 

Offered in collaboration with the Wounded Warrior Project.

IN-STITCHES KNITTING CLUB

Beginners and experienced knitters and crocheters are welcomed in this fun and friendly group.  We currently meet Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to noon and Thursday evenings 6:30 to 8 pm.  Please call the Library if you have any questions, 845-225-2439.

To get reacquainted with the on-line catalogue, visit the new Help Center at http://midhudsonlibraries.org/help.  Included are tips, tricks and how-to’s for the following:

The Library is a doorway to imagination

George Fischer Middle School students in Ms. Swarm’s art class  illustrated the idea that the Library is a doorway to the world of information and imagination.  The designs have been turned into notecards and complete sets of all eleven designs are available in the Library.  Stop in and pick up a set!

COMPUTER HELP – New Times!

Stop in Tuesday or Thursday mornings from 10 am to noon or Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4 if you need help:   learning PC skills, creating an e-mail account, learning how to use the internet, learning how to use the library’s on-line resources, overcoming computer fear.  No experience necessary!
