Library Trustees Needed

If you are a resident of the Town of Carmel who does not live in the Mahopac School District and would like to join the Reed Library Board as it plans the Library’s next 100 years, please send a letter of interest to Reed Memorial Library, 1733 Route 6, Carmel, NY 10512.

Dig into Reading is this year’s national theme for summer reading.  To see all we have planned, take a look at our Dig into Reading brochure for great kid’s programs throughout the summer.  Programs begin the week of July 1. Call the Library to register.

100th Anniversary Celebration Tea

Sunday, June 30, at the Sedgewood Club home of Cynthia and Mike Gibbons.  Talk by Kathleen Durham, Executive Director of the Eleanor Roosevelt Leadership Center at Val-Kill.   Reservation and ticket information available here.

AN AFTERNOON OF OLDE TYME MUSIC, SKIT AND SONG

early programsOn Sunday May 5 at 3 pm, the nineteenth century entertainment of the early Literary Union of Carmel will be brought to life for today’s twenty-first century audience!

 

The Real Chemistry Barber Shop Quartet,  MAC award winning vocalist and actress Valerie diLorenzo, Midhat Serbagi violist, Metropolitan Opera and friends will celebrate Reed Library’s Centennial in music, skit and song.  Join us for a memorable afternoon.

BEDTIME STORIES

Volunteers are needed:

Saturday April 6, 3 to 6 to set up the sale

Sunday April 7, 10 to 3 to keep tables stocked & neat

Sunday April 7, 3 to 4:30 to clean up after the sale.
